If Vargus Were Gay
Spectracolor Pencils, 1996
After completing this work, I saw similarities to the
artist Vargus' style in art he created of women
for Playboy magazine.
Again Luis was wonderful holding another difficult pose.
That torso and neck twist got sore and he needed
regular breaks to relieve the stress.

In The Zone
Spectracolor Pencils, 2005
This man called me from my posted bookstore flyer
seeking models. He admitted to having had a couple glasses
of wine and some grass...and wanted to pose immediately.
I never had worked with someone so spontaneously before.
Luckily, I could drop what I was doing and invited him over.
He was quite tall, so I decided on this pose's foreshortened view point.
Quite relaxed, he just grooved to my everpresent
jazz/dance/diva/house mixes as I drew his tall,
naturally impressive physique.
...and that throbber on his thigh jumped a bit,
every so often!
