Some Zees
spectracolor pencils, 2004

Inspired by Greg, but somehow his face ended up looking like some other hot scruffy man.

Original Art: 18 x 24 inches Spectracolor Pencils on Canson paper

Sumptuous

chalk pastels, 2006

Allam was a former Miami neighbor. This was the second and last work we created together.

The title comes from both the softness of the pillows he rested on

and the fantasy of resting one's head on...you finish my thought...

Original Art: sold

Sweet Dreamer
B &W spectracolor pencils, 2006

Inspired by Henry but the resulting work looks like someone about a decade younger.

Chose this pose to be more universally acceptable.

Original Art: sold to a dentist

Ten O'Clock
chalk pastels, 2003

Decided to create a multi session very detailed work of Greg.

During the pose, Greg fell asleep and had an "excited" dream.

When I noticed his erection, I quickly began rendering it. But as I was about half way through,

Greg's member moved from the depicted "10 O'Clock" position to a "2 O'Clock" position.

Frustrated by the movement of a vital element, I had to wake Greg and ask him to hold

his throbber with fingers out of view at the former position.

The background is an accurate portrayal of my former Miami Studio.

The addition of the blue jeans was suggested by one of my best long term friends. Are the results worth it?

Ultra Woof
spectracolor pencils, 2010

Jim worked out at the same Oakland Park gym, where we were introduced.

This man was so woof, had to put my lust on the back burner

and just draw him. Everything accurate.

What Goes Up Gets Drawn
B&W chalk pastels, 2004

This tall man came to pose only this once and our session was cut short as he was called in to work.

At that point, I had rendered everything but his substantial chest hair.

After not being to reschedule more time with him, and not wanting to abandon a promising work,

I decided to work off a picture of another man's chest.

Worth Waiting For
B &W spectracolor pencils, 2006

Another stunning gym mate...

Lucky to have him invest this time out of his busy schedule to achieve this work.

Youthful Maturity
spectracolor pencils, 2006

This work benefits from working with a model for many sessions

when familiarity, comfort and mutual friendship

helps an artist to find and employ the elements economically.

In other words, it was a very good day to be an artist.
