The Male Art of David W. Haskins
Furry Muscle Gallery 4
Perfection Tapestry
spectracolor pencils, 1996

This was an early drawing of David, focusing
on his incredible physique.
An unusual work due to the experimental way
that the background was created.
When completed, that
effect reminded me of a tapestry.

Powerful Presence

came up with this one.
Employing dark blue pencil on red was also new.

Racing Against the Sunset
spectracolor pencils, 2006

The title refers to the reality dealt with in creating the piece:
diminishing natural light.
As this 1st time model dropped his pants,
his excitement was immediately apparent, and quickly rendered.

Request Fullfilled
chalk pastels, 1999

One of my clients purchased another work of Andrew and then verbally
fantasized of one with him "excited". Andrew and I completed this work guided
by that fantasy.
All it took for Andrew to be in the requested state was for me to
recount some of my then recent intimate encounters at local gathering spots.
As it was not sold to the fantasizer, it is available to you.

Romulo
B&W spectracolor pencils, 2004

Another handsome man found on "Big Muscle Bears" site.
Romulo posed for this piece in exchange for a large
photo print of the work.
His prematurely greying hair was stunning against
his tanned, super fit essense.

Sammy's Watching
B & W Charcoal on Canson Paper, 2006

As I was drawing Andrew's raised upper leg,
I noticed our sweetheart cat Sammy
observing the creative process and found him too cute not to include him.
Thankfully, Sammy stayed stationary long enough to render him.

Savior

The creative process for this work began as a bust study but
became spiritually influenced
by my naturally uplifted emotional state at the time.

Scorpio Rising
B&W spectracolor pencils, 2006

Knowing Henry as a Scorpio and his unexpected excited state
while posing, made naming this piece a "no brainer".

Six Five Two Fifty
B&W spectracolor pencils, 2013

I had contacted this impressive man through a social site
5 years previous asking him to pose for me.
Communication stopped for no obvious reason, assumed he wasn't interested.
Then in March 2013, got an email asking if I wanted him to model.
After seeing a snap, I recognized him and then set up this session.
Since he was the largest man I've ever drawn, up to this point,
I titled this piece appropriately.
